50 Shades of Blue for One Gorgeous Cottage Makeover | Part I
Our client's quaint, lakeside cottage was full of potential. Aside from its to-die-for setting on a beautiful lake, the cottage's interior was brimming with charm. All of its upholstered pieces were in great shape (except for the fabrics).
We were excited to get our hands on the living, sitting, and dining rooms--and we even created a cozy nook.
House Tour: The Cottage Sitting Room
This sitting room had suffered a lot of abuse from people, sun, and wet bathing suits. We immediately swapped out the existing floor coverings for durable rugs, and we re-upholstered / created new slipcovers for every piece of well-loved furniture.
House Tour: The Cozy Nook
This nook is the perfect place for family members to play games, sew, read, or eat. It's multi-functional set up--and indoor/outdoor fabric--echoes the energetic yet soothing atmosphere of this lakeside cottage.
The table and chairs belonged to our client's grandmother, and we were thrilled to use them in this space. We repainted the chairs and replaced the table top so that it could withstand everyday use.
To finish the nook, we added shiplap for texture and interest. It completed the nautical theme without being overly obvious.
At Teaselwood Design, we get really excited about creating beautiful and inviting spaces for our clients and their families. We work closely with you to design a home that's all about the little details, designed with your lifestyle in mind.
