about our studio

We believe in homes built for generations.

our services

Our approach is calm, personal, and intentionally paced. At Teaselwood, we take time to understand each home and each client, allowing the design process to unfold with clarity, care, and ease. We specialize in new builds, renovations, and full-home furnishings, offering a bespoke, white-glove experience shaped around the unique needs of every project. Nothing is templated. Each home is approached individually—guided by place, proportion, and the way it will be lived in over time.

What distinguishes Teaselwood is a deep fluency in both design and construction, and a thoughtful collaboration with the building process—particularly within the nuances of mountain living. Mountain homes require a considered understanding of climate, materials, and structure. With decades of hands-on experience, we work closely with architects, builders, and artisans to ensure design intent is carried through with care.

The result is a seamless continuity between vision and execution, and homes that feel grounded, resilient, and deeply at ease in their surroundings.

Charity Buchika

founder & Prinicpal Designer

With over two decades of experience, Charity’s work is shaped by a rare combination of lived mountain knowledge, deep construction expertise, and an intuitive eye for proportion, material, and scale. Raised in the building world—surrounded by construction, antiques, and historic homes—Charity developed an early understanding of how spaces come together, how materials age, and why craftsmanship endures. That foundation continues to inform her quiet, considered approach to mountain living.

Teaselwood Design is the culmination of Charity’s path: a designer who understands structure as deeply as she understands beauty, and who leads each project with clarity, care, and intention. Her work honors heritage architecture while supporting the realities of modern life—creating homes that feel grounded, calm, and deeply personal. Known for her steady leadership and white-glove stewardship throughout the building process, Charity guides clients from vision through execution, crafting homes that belong to their landscape and grow more meaningful over time.
