LOCATION

Okemo Mountain, Vermont

When our client purchased her ski house sight unseen, she was captivated by the breathtaking views and the unparalleled ski on/off access at Okemo Mountain.

However, the space was a relic of the 1980s, sporting tired interiors with outdated features like popcorn ceilings, original kitchen, and bathrooms. Our client, originally hailing from England now lives with her busy family in Westport, CT.

She envisioned a snug, mountain-inspired haven and understood the transformative power of impeccable design. That's when Teaselwood stepped in to craft a warm and inviting ski home tailored for their needs.

Drawing inspiration from the cozy charm of an English cottage, we elevated the space to new heights. Our approach redesigned the compact kitchen into a delightful cottage-style space, featuring inset doors with Farrow and Ball's Elephants Breath finish. By reconfiguring entrance door opening we were able to repurposing a closet into a charming coffee bar, which expanded the kitchen are. We also created a inviting eating nook into the kitchen space which helped ease and awkward space. We blending rustic elements like stone and a rustic mantel with built-ins in the living area which helped create additional storage and textures.
