Sugarbush Retreat began as a standard, builder-grade second home that lacked the character and depth the clients envisioned. Located in Vermont’s Sugarbush region, the goal was to transform the interior into a more expressive and welcoming mountain retreat—one that felt personal, cohesive, and aligned with how the home would be lived in across seasons.
Teaselwood guided a full furnishings installation alongside updates to the kitchen and primary bath, introducing rich materiality and mountain-inspired detailing throughout. Plaid wallpaper, tailored millwork, and a custom built-in office bring both function and personality, while a dedicated bar within the dining area creates a more complete and intentional space for gathering. Layered textures, thoughtful finishes, and a cohesive furniture plan unify the home, resulting in a second residence that feels grounded, elevated, and fully reflective of the clients’ lifestyle.
